Weekly challenge - Cricut Circle

Good Afternoon,
Once I saw the beautiful red, white, and blue striped paper on the Heirloom Imagine cartridge, I knew that it'd make a great base for a July 4th card. My husband has a red Vespa which he adores, so I thought this would make a cute card for him. That's supposed to be me bringing him a basket of stars - too bad I don't have hair like that! So cute!

The stars are from Graphically Speaking, the girl and scooter are from Sweethearts, and the folder is Cuttlebug called Stars, I believe.

Per Carol on the regular message board, I added some makeup to the girl to fancy her up a bit.

Thanks for looking!

Cricut Circle contest

All right - here's a quick post showing me in my craft space. It's not that I think you care to see me, it's for a contest, and I don't know how to post a picture without doing it from my blog. So sorry.

But, here's a good opportunity to see how messy I am. :0)

Mom's Day card

Just wanted to share my Mother's Day card - I used the Cricut Mother's Day cart for the floral background mat, and I used a 3-D flower from SVGCuts for the flower. I enjoy using MTC as well as Cricut cartridges. Being able to use both is really, the best of both worlds for me.

Thanks for looking!

I had a hard time deciding what to watch yesterday morning...

The Royal Wedding?

Or

these beautful little creatures that were visiting our pond.

Both happening at the same time. Hmmmm.

What do you think I chose?

DeNami color challenge

Good Morning. I've never completed a color challenge before today. I'm so pleased with the stamps that I purchased at the DeNami booth at the Heirloom Stamp Convention in Allentown a few weeks ago. These stamps are absolutely the cutest stamps ever. The sets contain just the tiniest, cutest (did I say cutest?) grouping of four stamps. I bought two of the 4-stamp sets, along with a couple of other very useful, versatile stamps that I had to have. I think I could have bought them all, actually!!

This color challenge featured colors that I'm not normally drawn to, but as I stamped away, I started thinking the combination reminded me of Easter and, of course, the chocolate brown color looked like a chocolate bunny! So, I just had to include some bunny images in my project. I also used a sheep stamp (also DeNami Designs) because it felt springy to me as well. I made the background paper with the Three Line Border stamp (DeNami Designs!). Oh my, this is a great stamp! I've used it multiple times already and will use it lots in the future, I'm sure!

So, here is my project:

My First Swap

I'm participating in my first swap on the Cricut messageboard. We made altered paperclips.

These are the backs:

It was a lot of fun but took me longer than I expected. I made the background papers and I even flocked the little mouse's pink ear. So cute!

More Cards

I did one non-traditional Valentine this year but I really don't like it. :0)

I am impressed, however, with how well the Imagine cuts, even at such a tiny size. This is a very detailed cut!

I like this one a bit better. I used the Imagine again to print and cut it out.

One final picture today. I love making my own background papers using stamps. I used this tiny mailbox for our Valentine's party. The kids made teeny tiny mail for it using a punch that I have.

Pretty ballerina

My daughters have been taking a ballet class and I've really enjoyed watching them twirl around wearing their pink leotards. It's very precious.

Have You Missed me???

I haven't posted for months because typing gives me neck pain. I've been dealing with this for quite awhile, and the only thing that makes my neck feel better is staying off the computer! I've been creating, though, and having fun, but I miss sharing my things with all of you. I won't be typing much, but I would like to post pictures as my neck allows.

I'm entering my first weekly contest on the Circle Blog. Someone from the message board (sorry, I don't remember the name) posted this lovely sewing machine cut. They layered Glossy Accents on top to give it the appearence of metal. I just had to give it a try! The card is a bit busy, but I've been fooling with it since Friday and I need to clean my desk and get on with other things.

I love the little button border Cuttlebug folder. I cut with the Expression and printed with the Imagine. Had both machines going at the same time. I stamped all three of the pattered papers to make my own.
