Keeping it real...

Someone posted a dare on the Cricut mb and I'm rising to the challenge -- Take a picture of your scrap table right now. Done.

I am a complete organizing freak. Do you believe it?? LOL!!! ...Ok, I'm a complete organizing freak wannabe. What is it they say about a messy desk?

My excuse is that I was up late working on a project. Do you see the cute little crib in that chaos somewhere? That's what I was working on... When I finish it, I'll show you the final project and where I got the idea.

Sew cute... more cards

I just love this last card. I tried cutting aluminum foil using my cricut for the first time. I had to do it several times to get it to work, but I eventually did. The cute pincushion and needle are from SVGCuts.com and the button is the Martha Stewart button punch.

Cards

My mom came over the other day for a lesson in cardmaking. Like I'm the expert - ha!! But, we had lots of fun and I am totally enjoying this new hobby.

I realized I forgot to add some other cards, so here they are. The little gumball machine is so cute, but it took a bit to piece together. I have to make little gumballs for it yet.

See you later.

3 new cards today

I put vellum over the picture, which is actually a rubber stamped image. I went to a rubberstamp convention recently with my mom - I had no idea that rubber stamps were so beautiful!!

This card is for a little boy's birthday that we are going to tonight. I tried to select boyish colors, but they aren't exactly my favorite. I'm still trying to learn the design process. Do you choose all of your papers and coordinating elements first??? I don't do it that way and just try to create as I go. I never have a plan, so I think that's why I'm having a hard time. I just go along and try to scrabble things together. I suppose that's why two cards take me about two hours! LOL!

That's it for now.

Once Upon a Princess card

Here is my first card using the Once Upon a Princess cart. Not sure what to put inside the card, yet.

Thanks for looking.

More pictures

I'm not sure why some of the pictures are sideways - and, I don't know why they posted out of order and in duplicate! I don't know which picture is which to try to correct them so I guess I won't worry about it for now.

Here are the rest, apparently in no particular order :0)

Some new projects I wanted to share

I'm discovering that it's hard to find the time to actually complete projects, let alone take pictures, upload them, blog about them, etc. but perhaps I'll get a little faster and better with practice.

I found a tutorial on making a mini album using a chipboard purse from Michael's dollar spot. It's by Marti of Pez-a-Doodle. Forgive me, but I do not know how to embed links yet. I'm hoping that you can google for the information if you want to copy it, or perhaps someone will tell me how to do the embedding.

Anyway, here are some pictures of my completed project. I did the first page on my own, but the rest was pretty much as Marti suggested in her tutorial. I really liked how she put the actual cut sizes for the Cricut so I didn't have to figure anything out on my own - well, just what paper to use! This was my first mini album and it took a VEEERRYYYYY long time to do. I'm not sure if it's lack of experience, or what, but I found it difficult figuring out papers and coordinating elements and all of that. I am very pleased with the final project, however, especially with such cute little subjects. :0) I hope I remember how to upload photos...
